Scorsese film about and with the world's biggest rock band Rolling Stones was recorded in connection with the Stones' performance at the legendary The Beacon Theatre in New York. The concert took place in autumn 2006, when the band broke off their "A Bigger Bang" tour to give a special concert with a number of guest stars and new numbers. Scorsese has brought together some of the world's best film people who have captured the raw energy of the Rolling Stones in absolute peak shape. "Shine a light" also includes behind-the-scenes footage, new interviews and papers of Stones' career, as Scorsese's own statements "Displaying pages of the legendary rock band that nobody has seen before."
