Jamming With Edward
This CD is based on the original LP
from January 1972
illegitimate pressing on CD of the LP

Spend part of an evening with
the Stones' rhythm section, Mick Jagger, freak-boogie pianist Nicky "Edward"
Hopkins and Americana slide guitarist Ry Cooder. No matter what, this is the
real Rolling Stones "loose" album. The five improvised themes are attributed to
Hopkins, Cooder and Charlie Watts just because they are paying the most
attention. The jam also conjures up "It Hurts Me Too" (Elmore James). I would
not call any of Jammin' With Edward inspired, but it is comfortable and intimate.
An extemporaneous footnote to the Let It Bleed sessions.
